Climate Risk Desktop Assessment
An in-depth review of the climate hazards and vulnerabilities for your location and assessing the quality of controls you have in place.
Overview
The overall approach includes four steps (preparation, desktop assessment, analysis, and communication) and is designed to deliver high-quality services most efficiently and cost-effectively. It aims to understand the existing situation, current natural hazard risk, and future change of your organisation, and determine the right solutions to help your locations mitigate the risk.
Our risk engineering specialists carry out site-specific high-level scenario analysis of any potential loss events considering global climate projections plus local hazard data and using details of buildings and the value chain. Our risk engineers will also evaluate the quality of your controls, taking into account their availability, reliability, and fitness for purpose for the hazards and exposures that have been identified during the climate risk assessment.
From this assessment we carry out a high-level loss scenario to an initial loss estimate on the potential damage to property or the business interruption, should a climate related event occur. The project's key objective is to increase the climate resilience of the selected locations of your organisation, and our approach is solution-oriented and driven by our deep knowledge of our customer's operations and the location-specific data.
